Mum can’t stop laughing at daughter’s ‘rude’ drawing of her
A mum was left laughing when her daughter proudly showed her a ‘lovely’ portrait she’d drawn of her – which made her resemble a penis.
Darcie Connelly, four, drew the picture while she was at school on Wednesday (Sep 28) and told mum Lucy Thomson, 35, it was supposed to be her.
However, when Lucy took the picture out of her daughter’s bag to have a look, she was struck by its phallic appearance.
Yet despite Lucy and the other parents finding the drawing hilarious and joking about how it would ‘look good on the fridge’, young Darcie was completely oblivious to what they all found so funny.
Lucy, a nail technician from Nottingham, said: ‘I went to pick her up from school last night and basically we were allowed to go in and view her classroom.
‘The teacher said, “Darcie’s done a lovely picture of you today” – I asked what it was and she gave me a look as if to say, “When you look in her bag, you’ll know”.
‘Darcie presented it to me and said, “It’s you, mummy!” So I asked, “What’s that?” and she said, “It’s your big bottom”.
‘I just burst out laughing, there was another mum sitting at the side of me and she was in hysterics.
‘I obviously think it looks like a penis and as mums we all looked at it and all thought the same thing.
‘Somebody earlier suggested I should caption it, “Does my bum look big in this?”
‘Everyone else had a good look as well – at least it will look good on the fridge. She was completely oblivious to it with her innocent little mind.’
It’s not the first time a child’s drawing has had unexpectedly phallic undertones either. This cheeky incident from 2020 saw mum Kirsty Appleby’s daughter Megan brought home a picture of a ‘space rocket’ that was shaped like… you guessed it.
‘Megan’s teacher thought it was hilarious too and we had a good giggle about it,’ Kirsty said at the time.
‘I shared a few pictures about it with friends and family who also found it very funny.
‘We’ve decided to keep the picture for when Megan is a bit older and show her maybe at her 18th or perhaps at a hen party.’
