Dillon Thieneman's Sister Kiera Catches Attention Amid NFL Draft
The first round of the NFL draft is in the books with 32 former college football stars finding their homes in the National Football League.
Former Purdue and Oregon star Dillon Thieneman was among them when he was drafted by the Chicago Bears with the No. 25 overall pick. Many expected Thieneman to go a bit earlier in the draft, with most mock drafts linking him to the Minnesota Vikings at No. 18.
In the end, their NFC North rival landed the athletic safety.
"Dillon's tape popped out," general manager Ryan Poles said after the pick. "Just the sense of urgency that he plays with, the play speed … his ability to close on the football, both in the run and the pass stood out really, really quick. The guy's obsessed with football. He's extremely fast, a great leader, violent in the way that he plays the game; everything that we're looking for."

While she attends Purdue, Thieneman still found a way to support her brother at Oregon football games.
"became a duck for the weekend," she wrote during the 2025 season.
Dillon Thieneman Dominated NFL Combine
Thieneman locked in his status as a first-round draft pick when he lit up the NFL combine. He ran a 4.35 in the 40-yard dash, besting many of the best wide receivers in the league.
His versatility as both strong and free safety as well as nickel back will allow the Bears to move him around the field.
The 6-foot, 201-pounder appeared in 39 games over three seasons at Purdue (2023-24) and Oregon (2025), registering 306 tackles, eight interceptions, 14 pass breakups, 10.0 tackles-for-loss, 2.0 sacks and two forced fumbles.
