Great Britain announce long list roster for WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Lima
Great Britain have announced a 21-player long list ahead of the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage, to be held in Lima, Peru from 14 to 18 July 2026.
Head coach Tara Henry and the British Softball Federation confirmed the selection as the team prepares to compete in Group Lima alongside reigning world champions Japan, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Venezuela and hosts Peru. Two teams from the group will advance to the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Finals, scheduled from 5 to 11 April 2027 in Redcliffe, Australia.
The players named are Katie Burge, Jessica Chan, Elena Clark-Wilson, Georgina Corrick, Kailyn Haig, Amy Hattie, Laura Hirai, Jasmine Franck, Cara Edwards, Amie Hutchison, Jahni Kerr, Mia Krueger, MacKenzie Langan, Alexis ‘Bam’ Larrow, Paytyn Monticelli, Kaitlyn Paris, Morgan Salomon, Alana Snow, Sydney Teague, Jenna Thompson and Tia Warsop.
“Our journey to the LA28 Olympic Games begins with the Softball World Cup, and we believe this group has the talent, drive and character to compete at the highest level,” Henry said. “This is a hungry team that has grown together by blending the energy of youth with the leadership of veterans, and the players have put in the work to earn this opportunity. The training camp will be an important chance to build on that progress as we select the strongest team for pool play.”
“We have built up a pool of talented, dedicated athletes through European competitions and continuous scouting and have a group that is ready to compete with the best of the best,” said British Softball Federation Head of Performance,Gary Anderson. “Our training camp in the United States will give us an opportunity to evaluate our team and select the best possible squad for Peru. We are ready to compete for a world championship or Olympic qualification.”

This marks Great Britain’s fourth consecutive appearance in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup, following their participation in the 2023 Group Stage in Ireland where they defeated Australia, world No. 3 Chinese Taipei and hosts Ireland, before securing a bronze medal at the 2025 European Championship.
All players named will attend a training camp in the United States, where the final roster and coaching staff will be confirmed ahead of travel to Lima.
Great Britain will open their Group Stage campaign against Japan on 14 July at 18:00 local time.
The WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup 2026/2027 marks the first qualification event on the road to the LA28 Olympic Games, with one Olympic berth available for the top-ranked team at the Finals 2027.
A total of 57 games will be contested during the Group Stage, scheduled as follows: Prague from 16–20 June, Lima from 14–18 July, and Oklahoma City from 12–16 September.
