To the editor: BG poll offers insight to union organization
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics 10 percent of U.S. workers belong to a union. This is a substantial decline from 1983 (the first year for which comparable data is available) when just over 20 percent of workers belonged to unions. Although I clearly have opinions on the subject, this essay is not an argument in favor of, or in opposition to, this decline, but is instead an analysis of what Ohio voters think about this situation, based on recent polling.
