Fan Involved in CM Punk Altercation After Wrestlemania Issues a Surprising Ultimatum
The fan who was involved in a tense confrontation with WWE superstar CM Punk after WrestleMania 42 has issued one demand.
Fortunately for the former World Heavyweight Champion, the fan will not pursue any legal action.
On Monday morning, TMZ released footage of CM Punk smacking away a fan's cellphone in an altercation at the lobby of the MGM Grand, following his loss to Roman Reigns in the main event.
Footage showed a fan approaching Bayley and speaking with her while she embraced CM Punk's wife, A.J. Lee. Bayley put her hand up in front of the camera, and a furious Punk went over and slammed the phone out of his hand:
The CM Punk fan is not going to the cops or suing over the phone smack, he just wants an apology. https://t.co/6uHLeRhh2i pic.twitter.com/kXuw0pDdyY

Speaking to TMZ Sports after the incident, the fan (who chose to remain anonymous) said he won't sue or press charges against Punk. All he wants is an apology from the 47-year-old superstar.
"I want an apology, shake my hand, I'm not gonna sue him or put him in jail," the fan told TMZ Sports. "I just want an apology."
Punk fell to Reigns in the main event of night two, dropping his world title as a result. Lee lost her WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship match to Becky Lynch.

After CM Punk left WWE in 2014, rumors indicated that his departure was largely due to his unhappiness over never headlining a WrestleMania. Fast forward to 2026, and he has now headlined back-to-back WrestleMania events.
The future WWE Hall of Famer headlined night one of WrestleMania 41 with Reigns and Seth Rollins. The latter emerged victorious via pinfall, spoiling CM Punk's first WrestleMania main event.
Now, we wait and see what compelling storyline WWE comes up with for CM Punk after losing his thrilling bout to the company's top star.
