According to reports on Tuesday (April 14), a woman named Lonna Drewes says he drugged and raped her in 2018.
She said that she met him while working as a model while his wife was pregnant, and believed they were friends at first. During a later meeting, she said she had a glass of wine before suddenly feeling unable to move, which led her to believe she was drugged.
She claims that Eric took her to a hotel room claiming he forgot something, raped her and choked her.
“While he was choking me I lost consciousness and I thought I died. I did not consent to any sexual activity,” she said, via BBC.
She did not go for an assault exam at the time, but confided in close friends. Her lawyer Lisa Bloom said a police report is expected to be filed, and that three other women had contacted her about allegations against Eric as well.
This comes after four other women accused the congressman of misconduct, ranging from sexual harassment to rape.
The lawmaker has denied all allegations.
“These accusations are false, fabricated, and deeply offensive – a calculated and transparent political hit job,” his attorney Sara Azari has said.
