3 transported to hospital after multi-car crash in Berlin
BERLIN, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A crash closed all lanes on Route 22 in Berlin between Airport Road and Sandbank Road around 7 a.m. According to the Berlin Fire Department, the road has since reopened.
The fire department's assistant chief said a call for a two-car accident came in around 7:10 a.m. According to the assistant chief, three patients were transported to the hospital for injuries, but he said the extent of their injuries was unknown.
Berlin Central School District had a scheduled prom promise mock accident scheduled for 9:15 a.m. but that mock crash has been cancelled by the district for "unforeseen circumstances."
According to the school district, the accident occurred in front of the Berlin Middle/High School. The district said no students were involved.
NEWS10 reached out to State Police and the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office for information around the crash.
