B&M slashes price of stylish home furniture to just £1 instead of £10 – plus how you can find more bargains
SHOPPERS are flocking to B&M to get their hands on a trendy home accessory with a minuscule price tag of just £1.
The epic deal was slapped on the Tromso 1 Tier Shelf, which was originally £10.
The minimalist design features a metal black box frame and a rustic oak wood style shelf, perfect for holding photo frames or small plants.
The stylish piece can be found in stores and online in the shelving section.
The shelf is still marked as £7 after the discount store whacked 30 percent off, but according to one savvy shopper, the product is now just £1.
Taking to the Facebook group, B&M and All Bargains, Discounts and Glitches, the customer shared a photo of their receipt showing the incredible saving.
“Brought this shelf from B&M in Peterborough town centre for £1. It’s going in my daughter’s room,” they wrote.
However, it’s worth keeping in mind that the shelf may not be £1 in your local branch, so check before you get to the till.
Retailers tend to reduce items like this to clear stock in specific branches.
So it’s not guaranteed that you’ll sniff out the same bargain that other punters do.
Stock may also vary at different branches, so it’s worth checking ahead.
Always remember to shop around when buying something like this as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.

A former manager for one of the stores said this is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear stock and make way for new items.

- Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
- Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
- You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
- Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
- If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
- You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
