A SKINCARE fan has shared the three-step routine that repaired her damaged skin barrier.
She explained that a $17 drugstore buy locked in her skincare during the day and night.
Redditor S1ngle_mom_1 shared the beauty tip in a viral post.
She explained that after she realized she’d damaged her skin barrier, reverting to a basic routine was the only thing that helped her.
“Strip your routine down to basics and remove ALL actives,” she urged.
By removing all actives from her routine, she allowed her skin a chance to breathe.
Her routine, she explained, was only three steps.
“Cleanser to moisturizer to SPF (AM) or Vaseline (PM),” she said.
As a last step, a secret weapon was a boost in helping her skin barrier.
She revealed that the $17 La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 was her go-to.
“Would also HIGHLY recommend LRP Cicaplast Balm. Use over moisturizer (AM before SPF and PM before Vaseline) for additional barrier support/healing,” she said.
