PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A drug investigation centered around a home in Tigard has resulted in the arrest of one man.
During the serving of the warrant, a car got away after crashing into multiple law enforcement tactical vehicles, with that driver still not identified, the Tigard Police Department said.
The main suspect in the investigation, 29-year-old Tevis Wilson, was arrested during the raid and is accused of drug trafficking and gun-related charges. Police also seized drugs and ammunition.
After receiving a warrant from a judge following a weeks-long investigation into the home near SW Oak Street and 67th Avenue, Tigard Police officers, detectives and the Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team partnered up to conduct the raid early Thursday morning.
"As the team arrived, three people were getting into a car in the driveway. As TNT worked to block in the car, one person ran back inside the home. The driver then backed into an armored truck, pulled forward and drove through the yard and hit a second TNT vehicle to get away," Tigard Police said in a release. "A patrol officer tried to stop the car as it sped through the neighborhood, but the driver did not stop. Investigators are working to identify that person at this time. Thankfully, nobody was hurt."
Wilson "was found at the property and was safely arrested," police said. He is being held in the Washington County Jail on charges that include methamphetamine possession, hindering prosecution and unlawful ammunition possession due to a prior domestic violence conviction.
Police said the investigation first began after neighbors reported suspicious activity, such as a large number of people coming and going at all hours, complaints about animals and trash and suspected drug activity.
