A WOMAN has left people open-mouthed after revealing the ‘questionable’ name her cousin has given to her baby.
The stunned woman has slammed her family member for the ‘stupid’ name choice, and many have expressed their sympathy for the child.
She explained that it’s ‘the spelling that is maddening’, whilst Reddit users described the moniker as ‘absurd’[/caption]Posting on Reddit, under the tragedeigh page, the woman, who writes under the username BlindBandit988, said: “Cousin named her daughter Mle.”
She then explained: “Yes, Mle. She is a few months younger than my daughter, who is named Sophia.
“When she announced the name we all thought it was Emily which is a great name!
“Then she corrected us “No, it’s Em-Lee but spelled Mle.” Like. Girl. No.
“She has made more questionable parenting decisions since then.”
The bewildered woman later penned: “The name itself isn’t the issue, it’s the spelling that is maddening.
“I would still be confused about why it was spelled that way if it was pronounced Emily, but at least it would make sense then.”
Not only this, but the anonymous woman explained that she has shared her concerns about the name with her cousin, as well as the problems it could cause the youngster in the future.
She added: “I ensure her mother knows how dumb the name is anytime I see her, which isn’t often thankfully.”

Meanwhile, one user claimed: “My kid goes to school with M’ah. I called her Ma for about three weeks before my daughter said it’s Emma.”
Whilst another shared: “Oh God, how could it be worse for little Mle…? I’d be stopping myself from calling her Baby Shady regularly.”
