Van Hollen shows his hostility toward Israel | READER COMMENTARY
Congratulations to The Baltimore Sun for shining the light on U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s longstanding extreme and hostile feelings toward America’s most reliable ally, Israel (“Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen must stop ‘appeasing and coddling’ Hamas terrorists,” April 19).
I belong to an informal group that ranks America’s “most dangerous elected officials,” and Senator Van Hollen consistently leads the rankings. Unlike certain more flamboyant, extremist elected officials, whose rantings and demeanor are so obviously off the spectrum and therefore easily dismissed, Van Hollen masks his bias in a soft-spoken suave persona, which is precisely why he is so dangerous.
It can’t be said any better than how former state Sen. Bobby Zirkin put it in his commentary: “To say Maryland is not well-represented at this point would be a gross understatement. A time for change is clearly in order.”
