A Hillsdale man has been arrested following a financial crime investigation, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Donald Pierro, 70, is facing multiple charges.
3. Guilderland CSD to refund $4.7M to Crossgates
A local school district has to refund some of the money it received in property taxes from Crossgates Mall. The case stems from property tax assessments made before the COVID-19 pandemic.
4. Spectrum 8 Theatre to reopen under Scene One Entertainment
A legendary movie theater in the city of Albany will once again be shining films across the silver screen. The Spectrum 8 Theatre on Delaware Avenue will reopen under the management of Scene One Entertainment.
5. Middleburgh Jr/Sr HS principal named NYS Principal of the Year
Middleburgh Jr/Sr High School principal Matthew Sloane was named the 2024 New York State Secondary School Principal of the Year by the School Administrators Association of New York State (SAANYS). According to SAANYS, the award is given to a middle or HGH school principal who sets the pace, character, and quality of education for the students at their school.
