“Back after a reality check,” he wrote to his near-85,000 followers. “Last few months have been really hard for me mentally, for many reasons that i’ll keep private, but I have had to have a hard look at who I am and what I want from life.
“Long story short, I don’t want to be involved in this ‘influencer’ BS, i’m annoyed at myself to be sucked into it, it doesn’t give you any form of happiness, even though people think it does, the whole social media thing is the most empty and shallow thing I have ever seen.”
“Anybody who truly knows me, knows that I never did a tv show for anything but genuine reasons, and I have mentally tied myself to it, to my own detriment, for too long,” he added.
“I genuinely hit my lowest in february, I went to rural tenerife by myself and stayed in a hostel and it brought me down to earth about what’s truly important, and it’s simply being happy and content.”
“Anyway, not sure i’ll post too regularly moving forward, but here’s a snippet of happiness in the “casida” amongst some of the nicest (talented) people I have met, in the most amazing place i have ever stayed @casanagatenerife,” he concluded. “Home made entertainment, the best.”
In the video, Jordan is seen surrounded by people in a living room, singing Vance Joy’s Rip Tide as he’s accompanied by a man on the guitar and a woman on a small shaker.
On MAFS UK, Jordan was paired with social worker Derby native, Chanita Stephenson.
While they appeared to get off to a strong start, things soon fell apart once the show ended.
By the reunion, shot several weeks after the final episode, they had gone their separate ways, with Chanita blaming Jordan ‘stopping effort’ in making their romance work.
“I kept saying I don’t feel like you’re interested in me, you’re not making an effort’ and he was like ‘oh no, I can’t wait to see you’,” she told the girls.
“Then he was like ‘I don’t think we’re compatible, I don’t want to be with you’.”
“It was really weird,” she added. “What he says and what he does are two different things.”
