Kerry said her garden was looking ‘drab’[/caption] She has completely transformed the space[/caption]The mum-of-three decided that all she needed was a tin of beige paint, and set to work revamping the space.
Kerry, who often posts videos of her home renovations to her Instagram account @sunnysideofourstreet chose The Paint Shed Sadolin Superdec paint for her garden renovation, which can be purchased online for just £8.62.
Speaking to The Paint Shed, she said: “I used just one tin of Sadolin Superdec for my fences, shed, and wooden picnic bench, and the garden is now unrecognisable.
“I went for a neutral beige shade, which has made the space feel so much lighter and has brought cohesion across every area of the garden.”
Kerry, who is from Essex, decided to use the same shade of paint for her shed, garden gate and picnic table.
She said that she first sanded down the shed, and then painted each horizontal panel in a “methodical” manner.
The busy mum then moved on to painting the fence.
Sharing some tips, she said: “The fence panels were more difficult to paint but luckily, because of the type of paint I used, they didn’t need a separate primer.
“I also used a Prodec Shed and Fence Brush, which made the job even quicker.”
Kerry’s next task was to paint the picnic table, which she said was a little tricky, as it was damaged by the weather.
She said: “The picnic table was damaged from the weather, so it needed quite a bit of prep work before it could be painted.
“My tip here is to go away on holiday, have your in-laws house-sit for you and ask your father-in-law to sand it down so it’s ready to paint when you return; that’s what I did, and it worked a treat!”
Kerry said she decided to on a beige colour for the paint to make her home and garden “cohesive”.
