Women's basketball fans fly to Albany for NCAA
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Women’s basketball fans are eager to be in Albany as they flew in from all over to watch. Some bought tickets to the NCAA Tournament as soon as they found out the location.
"Flew out of Norfolk, Virginia, to Atlanta, to Albany and both flights were on time and no problems," stated Jack Plomgren.
Their reason for doing so? Some say it's to support women’s sports which have been growing in popularity.

“As a big women’s basketball fan and women’s sports fan in general, we are witnessing probably history in the making, right?” said Rachel Goetz.
One name you couldn’t take a step without hearing at baggage claim was of superstar sensation Caitlin Clark. She’s among the many role models fans look up to.
"I play college basketball myself so I was super excited when I found out the teams who were playing in the Albany region. Teams like LSU, South Carolina…," explained Isabella Starzyk.
