I had the worst date of my life – he said he wanted to ‘play with my hair’ but his other texts were really gross
WHILE some dates end with two people leaving together, one woman was forced to hide from the man she went out with.
A single mom was worried for her safety after her date’s gross texts at the end of the night.
In her viral video, Mandy (@below.average.mandy) recounted the meet-up, which she called the “worst date of my life.”
Commenters agreed that her date sounded less than ideal, with one viewer writing, “I’m just sick for you, this is awful, I’m so sorry! How is this the dating pool?”
“All of his texts are red flags,” said another follower.
“I’m glad you’re OK. He was totally psychotic,” commented a third person.
The TikToker, who has one young daughter, clarified that she disclosed that she was a single mom before arranging the date.
She explained that she was rarely free in the evenings but had arranged a babysitter for the occasion.
While she described the date itself as “OK,” Mandy told her followers that she felt uneasy as the pair walked to their cars.
When her date pulled away she decided to go back inside the bar and shared her concerns with the staff.
The bartenders advised her to stay a little longer to make sure the unnamed man didn’t follow her home.
As she waited, Mandy received a string of strange messages from her date.
At first, the man tried to persuade her to let him “come over” to her house.
He sent follow-up texts suggesting they go shopping and “do brunch” the following day.
Eventually, it seemed like he had taken the hint when he told her he didn’t sense “any amount of interest from you.”
After Mandy pointed out that it had only been 20 minutes since they had departed he told her he had parked up nearby “hoping you’d come around.”
When she politely rejected his advances once more, her date told her he “desperately craves human touch.”
He added that he thought she looked good during their date and told her, “I wanted to play with your hair.”
The following morning, Mandy’s date had sent her another string of texts, this time chastising her for her rejection.
After telling her that he wasn’t sorry for his behavior, he claimed he would’ve made their night together “worth your while.”
He also implied that she had hidden her daughter’s existence from him but said he was willing to overlook it.
Mandy’s followers shared their thoughts on the situation in the comments section.
“The red flags are RED FLAGGING,” joked one TikTok user.
“Good lord. So glad you trusted your intuition, went back inside instead of home, and are safe. ALWAYS trust your gut!!” said another viewer.
“I dated a guy EXACTLY like that. You dodged a serious bullet,” commented a third person.
“Thank GOD you are safe! He was terrifying! I hope you’re okay, I can’t imagine how scary that was,” wrote another follower.
“How entitled is this dude? Glad you went back to the bar and waited, stay safe,” said one commenter.
