Stunning weather ahead as Spring Break comes to a close
As Spring Break comes to a close, a moist, cloudy and blustery Thursday will give way to clear, crisp, drier weather starting Friday morning and lasting through the weekend.
A weakening cold front will descend from the northwest and move across the region on Thursday afternoon, resulting in isolated thunderstorms, scattered showers and gusty winds into the evening.
By Friday morning the front will have passed, making way for cooler dry air to move in from the northwest.
Temperatures at night will drop into the mid-50s inland and pleasant mid-60s along the east coast. Friday will warm into the mid- to upper-70s during the day, with clear bluebird skies.
Forecasters said a daytime warming trend will start Saturday and continue into the week, with daytime temperatures heading into the 80s through the weekend, and progressing into the low 90s by Wednesday.
Evenings, with clear skies, will remain relatively cool, dropping into the 50s inland and 60s closer to the coast.
The next potential rain won’t arrive in the region until next Wednesday.
