My dog chewed up my baseboard and left gnaw marks – I fixed it up with an $8.50 buy that’s ‘pure magic,’ it’s easy peasy
MAN’S best friend may make a great pet but they can also be destructive around your home.
One woman revealed the quick trick she used to fix the gnaw marks on her baseboard.
In her viral video, Kayse (@houseof.mkd) demonstrated the process for her followers.
First, the Instagrammer showed her audience the damage her dog had done to the corner of her baseboard.
She explained that her Golden retriever had teethed on the area as a puppy.
The dog then continued to gnaw on the corner for the next four years.
To remove the bite marks, she used Gorilla All-Purpose Wood Filler, available for $8.50 from Amazon.
“I almost replaced this chewed baseboard until I found this,” Kayse told her viewers.
She filled in the gnaw marks with the putty and molded it to the correct shape.
After allowing it time to dry, she sanded it down and painted it to match the white paint of the baseboard.
Kayse showed her followers the new and improved corner of her baseboard.
She described the result of the Gorllia paste as “perfection” as she gave a close-up look.
The previously damaged area was impossible to spot with the homeowner describing the putty as “pure magic.”
Kayse revealed that a contractor recommended the product to her after she thought she would have to tear off the entire baseboard.
She told her viewers that the entire transformation process was “easy peasy.”

“I did this EXACT same thing when my dachshund puppy destroyed my apartment’s baseboards, got to keep the deposit and they never noticed!!” wrote one viewer.
“My puppy also chewed the corners, I will be buying this!!” said another Instagram user.
“I used this for a window trim. Given time without rain it hardens like a rock and is easy to sand and shape,” commented a third person.
