Student brought taser to Albany elementary school
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The City School District of Albany is looking into how an elementary school student brought a taser to school Monday morning. School authorities say the student displayed the taser during breakfast in the cafeteria at Giffen Elementary.
School authorities say the family was not aware the child brought the taser to school. Teachers became aware of the incident when the student displayed it in their classroom at the start of the school day.
No one was injured in either instance. The school district says they're following their student code of conduct in response to the matter.
