Holly Willoughby’s This Morning co-presenter revealed as she returns to the show on Monday
HOLLY Willougby will be joined by Josie Gibson on the sofa this Monday.
Over the past week Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary stepped in to host the ITV show after Phillip Schofield was axed minutes after coming off air on Thursday 18 May.
Phillip was axed from This Morning earlier this month[/caption]Phillip’s exit was confirmed after weeks of intense speculation about his future and a feud with co-host Holly Willoughby, 42.
It was later revealed Phillip had an affair with a “much younger” This Morning worker while he was still married.
Fans have been wondering who will join Holly on the programme next week.
At the end of today’s instalment of This Morning, Alison and Dermot confirmed that it will be Josie.
Alison said: “Holly and Josie will be here on Monday when pop sensation Adam Lambert pops by to tell us loads.”
Earlier this week The Sun revealed that Holly WILL return to This Morning despite having pressure to step down.
A source said of Holly: “She has made it clear she was one of the people Phil lied to and she has nothing to hide.
“She will return to This Morning as planned on Monday and carry on like the professional she is.
“Holly has been affected by Phil’s actions and it has been very difficult. She is devoted to This Morning however and will continue to do the best job she can for them.”
For the last 14 years Holly and Phillip have presented This Morning every Monday to Thursday, followed by Alison and Dermot on Fridays since 2021.
