Disneyland kicks off Black Music Month in June
The Disneyland resort will be filled with the sounds of rhythm & blues, funk, soul, jazz, gospel, reggae and Motown throughout the month of June during the celebration of Black Music Month.
Disneyland will host a rotating cast of Black Music Month performers from Thursday, June 1 through June 30 as part of the Anaheim theme park’s Celebrate Soulfully campaign — which celebrates the work of Black artists through music, dance, food and stories.

Throughout June, musical groups will play the Hollywood Land stages at Disney California Adventure, the Downtown Disney stage next to the Star Wars Trading Post and the Grand Californian Hotel Craftsman Bar stage overlooking the pool.
The Hollywood Land music lineup includes:
- Midnight Hour – Best of Motown
- Finesse – Top 40 tunes from the 1960s to today
- Rhythm & Blues Brothas – Classic sounds of R&B and soul
The Hollywood Land backlot shows will take place in the late afternoon and into the evening.
The Downtown Disney music lineup includes:
- Jazz – Mondays and Wednesdays
- Caribbean – Tuesdays
- Top 40 – Thursdays and Saturdays
- Vintage R&B – Fridays
- Gospel – Sundays
The Downtown Disney performances are held in the afternoons and evenings near the Star Wars Trading Post.
The GCH Craftsman Bar lineup includes:
- Da-Light – Reggae, Jamaican and Afro-Cuban music
The daily poolside shows start on the hour from noon to 4 p.m.
