Angry neighbour’s note ordering mum to keep her kids quiet between 7am and 7pm sparks debate
A MUM has shared a shocking note she received from a furious neighbour about her children being too “noisy”.
The note asked her to keep her kids down due to the noise they make, but the mum says her children are asleep from 7pm to 7am.
The mum shared the note online, sparking mass discussion[/caption]The mum shared the note online and said: “We have lived in our rented apartment for six years with no issues.
“Now we have two toddlers and are going through the challenges of raising them.”
The note was handwritten, and claimed they could hear “banging noises” from early morning each day.
The note continued: “We would appreciate if you could please stop the noise and have a little consideration for your neighbours and that you live in an apartment block where the noise radiates around.”
The mum claims her children are well behaved, besides the occasional toddler tantrum.
She continued: “They wake up at 7, got to bed at 7, construction can start at 7am anyway.
“He doesn’t bang every day, only throws toys when having tantrums which can be quite frequent I guess.
“I think the banging she is talking about it when they drop toys in the morning or run as we have floor boards.”
Many viewers of the note rushed to defend the young mum, with one saying the noise wasn’t intended to cause harm.
One chimed in: “Sadly if the peace and enjoyment of the neighbours is breached you can get an eviction notice.
“A friend of mine has a boy with autism and was evicted last week due to noise from his meltdowns after neighbours complained.”
Another said: “They don’t have a leg to stand on. The noise isn’t malicious, partying, brawls. It is just children.
“Some people want the quiet of a house at the price of a unit.”
One commented: “Do not apologise for having children. Do not justify your child or parenting, it is none of their business.”
Earlier this year, an Aussie mum shared a horrifying note chastising her children for riding their bikes outdoors.
The mum-of-three, from Melbourne, Australia, was warned that her family “need to be respectful” when buyers are viewing the property.
She was sent a long list of barmy instructions that even ridiculously insisted she removes any clothes off the washing line.
The brood were told not to play any loud music, while Debbie was required to keep the children “nice and quiet” before the home was inspected.
Another mum in Melbourne shared a note slid under her door, slamming her children for simply playing in the garden.
The letter read: “You may not be aware, but your kids screaming, aggressive yelling, squealing and shouting can be heard all the time.
“Sometimes as early as 6.56am to as late as 10.30pm… every day.”
The note left some viewers divided.
One said: “She does not need to justify her children playing.”
Another defended the note: “Just because you have kids, doesn’t give you a right to let them disturb everyone else.”
