Michael Skubala pre Manure
Skubala on the last 24 hours
It was a dicussion that had to take place and after that they pulled me to talk about how to get through this period. We had meetings but we thought it was the best thing to do.
We pick the team together, any staff team picks the team together.
Skuabala on the prospect of managing at Old Trafford
It's an exciting prospect, it's Man U. I don't think any of us need to get players up for the challenge. Not daunting.
Skubala on Armas and Gallardo
Chris has worked with Jesse, he's still new to the team but he's been around the Premier LEague. Paco has been with me in the U21s. We have a good staff team.
We have 24 hours, we have one session this afternoon that we've prepared. I think there may be a few little tweaks and differences but we have to make sure players understand the game plan.
We can't be passive but we need to be pragmatic.
Injuries...
The usual long-term injuries, they haven't changed. We have a few bumps and bruises but I don't want to give them away
The plan...
This is temporary, I'll go back to my old role when this is done
Skubala on the situation
I've seen change quite a lot so it's important to be calm, i's been busy but it's a good challenge. The owners are working really hard behind the scenes to find the solution.
Jesse was a good guy, the team was working hard for him but they're used to change. The mood is OK, we just have to focus on Manchester United and be positive.
Skubala on Bamford's quotes
I think Pat was just being open about what he thought about the situation
Tactical changes?
We'll set up a team that is competitive without the ball and one that we think can exploit their weaknesses.
We've been really good wiothout the ball, the goal difference is good. We've been on the front foot and aggressive.
I saw Jesse before he left and he spoke to all the staff. It was personal, managers go through these situations.
Will he be in charge on Sunday?
I'm just getting through this first game, whatever between tomorrow and Sunday remains to be seen
Skubala on his support network and whether he was surprised
I've had loads of messages and advice. I've got a good support network. I won't be ringing Southgate.
I think the situation is hard for the club and for Jesse. The board decided he wasn't getting enough points and it's a points industry.
Skubala on Marsch's exit and his chance
I think for everyone that leaves it disappointing but he was professional and caring for the staff.
I think it's every coaches dream. I'll be up for this as much as the other players and coaching staff, it's very exciting.
