I went on a date with a would-be Romeo… but when I saw what he sent me more than two months later, I was speechless
A FEW months ago, Adele went on a date with a hopeful would-be Romeo.
Fast-forward a couple of weeks and it is now December, and the young woman suddenly wakes up to find a message on her phone – one that left her speechless.
”Hey Adele, what’s up?” read the first paragraph of the message which has since been shared on TikTok.
After getting past all the politeness, the bloke proceeded to continue: ”I made my balance for the last month and saw that I was the one paying for the dates – it total it’s about €100 (£86).”
One the true reason behind this message had been revealed, the date then shared his PayPal details asking ”to send cash”.
Baffled, Adele, believed to be from Europe, asked the guy if this was some kind of a joke, to which he quickly responded it wasn’t.
”Not really. I didn’t know that I paid that much,” he explained.
A day later, the young woman sent him a message wondering if this is a part of all his dates.
”Aren’t you embarazzzed [sic]?” Adele added.
The man then hit back using the 50/50 argument: ”Not, not really because it’s not always that only one person pays.
”Equality,” he said.
Still just as confused, Adele couldn’t understand why he hadn’t insisted to go halves straight away.

”And you decided to text me this after two months?”
The bloke, who she claimed was Turkish, explained again that this is all to do with his ”finance stuff”.
Unfortunately, despite leaving many invested in the story, this is where Adele stopped the video.
Just as shocked as the young woman, social media users then flocked to comments to share their thoughts.
One chuckled: ”Tell him he can take you to court.”
Another penned: ”as soon as it’s about money, we’re suddenly equals…”
”Omg I really can’t believe it!” a TikTok fan was stunned.
”You can’t invite people and then randomly decide after a while that you now want to split the costs?!’
