CRISTIANO RONALDO will become the world’s highest paid athlete after reportedly agreeing a deal to sign for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.
Ronaldo left Manchester United earlier this month following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he criticised the club.Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United earlier this month[/caption]
The 37-year-old has spent his career playing for Sporting Lisbon, United, Real Madrid and Juventus before joining the Red Devils again last year.
But this season he’s fallen out of favour with United boss Erik Ten Hag, who disciplined Ronaldo after he refused to come off the bench in a win over Tottenham earlier this season.
Ronaldo’s relationship with the club quickly deteriorated – and now he’s set for a new chapter in his career.
Marca are reporting that Ronaldo will join Al Nassr, where he will earn an eye-watering £173million-a-year.
