We transformed our unused landing space – it’s given us so much more room and anyone could do it
IF SPACE is limited in your home, you may be able to make a new cupboard or tiny room using your landing.
A TikTok user showed how she transformed her unused landing to make a large storage cupboard – and it was fairly easy to achieve.
TikTok user Dannie showed how she had unused space on her landing[/caption] She bought materials to add a wooden-framed cupboard to the landing[/caption] She ended up with a storage cupboard and made the most of the space[/caption]Dannie, who posts under @danniedw, showed how they cut their bannister and added a wooden frame to the gap.
She explained: “We did this ourselves so it saved us a bit.
“Cost us about £200-300 for materials if that helps so you’d just pay labour and would only take a day or so.”
They then made sure they had safely installed the cupboard before adding a door and painting the outside white to match the hallway.

Dannie said they had tossed up making the space into stairs to go into the loft, but they discovered that they weren’t able to convert their attic space.
She said there are certain restrictions to make sure there was enough walking space underneath.
Her video has racked up over 46,000 likes, and people were impressed.
One said: “thanks im gunna do this in my flat.”
