I transformed my dark, gloomy living room using bargains from Wickes & people can’t believe how expensive it looks
A WOMAN has shared the stunning transformation her living room went under – and she got it all done in under a weekend.
Mollie, from the UK, shared the transformation on TikTok and viewers say the simple transformation makes the space look much bigger.
Before, the room looked gloomy and ‘incomplete’[/caption]Posting to her TikTok account @molliesco, she revealed her dark, gloomy living room before the transformation.
Using bargains from Wickes the homeowner created a modern living space.
The space was painted black and used textured black wallpaper to create a feature wall.
But Mollie and her partner fancied a change and decided to lighten the space up.

She brought her dad in to help with the process who first stripped the textured wallpaper from the bottom half of the wall.
He then primed the walls ready for painting while Mollie and her partner put together a flat-pack console table for the room.
They then used MDF beams from Wickes to create a panelling along the bottom of the walls.
Mollie went for a white paint from the Dulux Heritage collection in the colour 241, Skimming Stone.

And Mollie wasn’t the only one impressed by the new look as people exclaimed how much better and bigger the room looks.
