Family pays heartbreaking tribute to ‘wonderful’ mum, 43, found dead at home as man arrested suspicion of murder
THE HEARTBROKEN family of a “wonderful” mum found dead at her Lancashire home have paid tribute – as a man is arrested on suspicion of murder.
A grief-stricken daughter has paid tribute to her mum after the 43-year-old was found dead at her Lancashire home on Sunday afternoon[/caption]The body of Sarah Ashcroft, also known as Sarah Graham, was discovered at her property in Sharoe Green Lane, Fulwood shortly before 2pm on Sunday.
Cops had been called to reports that a woman was “unresponsive” inside the house.
The 43-year-old’s death remains unexplained after a Home Office post-mortem was inconclusive.
Investigations into the tragedy continue.

A 44-year-old Preston man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He has been bailed while enquiries continue.
Sarah’s daughter has now released a statement on the tragedy through cops.
She said: “My mum, Sarah Ashcroft, was a wonderful mother, daughter and sister.
“She has brought so much love and light into my life, and others’ lives, since the day I was born, and continues to even now.

“She will be so dearly missed.
“We ask that people please respect our family’s privacy at this time.”
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Haworth-Oates, of the Lancashire Police’s Major Investigation Team, called for anyone with information to come forward.
“My thoughts remain with Sarah’s family at this time and we continue to offer them the support of family liaison officers,” he said.
“The man we arrested has been released on police bail to allow us to carry out further enquiries.
“Our investigation is very much ongoing as we try to piece together the circumstances around Sarah’s death.
“I would continue to appeal to anyone who either saw anything suspicious in the area around the address on Saturday or Sunday, or anyone who knows Sarah and could have information which could assist our enquiry, to come forward and contact us.
