Watch Nate Diaz light up ‘joint’ on live TV at UFC 270 before camera quickly cuts to Mike Tyson
MMA superstar Nate Diaz appeared to be lighting up a joint during UFC 270 in an awkward segment.
Diaz attended the event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California to support Brandon Moreno in his flyweight title defence against Deiveson Figueiredo.
As the camera focused on celebrities in the stands between fights it went to the American, who was sitting with his entourage.
The UFC star was holding a lighter and had what looked like a joint in his mouth while the crowd roared at seeing him.
The cameraman seemed to realise it was better to move on and quickly cut to Mike Tyson, who was also in attendance.
The 36-year-old has openly smoked weed at a UFC event before having lit a joint up during a press conference before his fight at UFC 263 with Leon Edwards, who beat him.
UFC VP of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky stated the Arizona State Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts Commission would be adapting rules for marijuana that are used in the UFC’s anti-doping program.
Novitzky recently tweeted: “Great working with AZ Commission, who are adopting our testing program/rules for this weekend.
