Newly-single Nadiya shakes off split with fiancé at Strictly tour launch in Birmingham with ‘close friend’ Kai
NEWLY-single Nadiya Bychkova looked sensational at the Strictly tour launch in Birmingham as she puts split with fiancé behind her.
The 32-year-old, who has reportedly split from partner Matija Škarabot, looked happier than ever as she prepared for the launch of the Strictly tour.
The professional dancer has shared a series of clips from behind-the-scenes as she geared up for tonight’s first performance.
The ballroom star looked sensational in a silver sequin ensemble as she posed alongside some of her pro dancers including Kai Widdrington who has reportedly been comforting the star following her split from her footballer partner.
In fits of laughter, Nadiya posted a photo of her laughing next to professional dancers Katya Jones and Lubna Mushtuk.
The TV star also posed up a storm alongside other contestants competing – including actress Masie Smith, EastEnders star Rose Ellis-Ayling and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly.
Yesterday, Nadiya revealed her glamorous hair transformation showing off her wavy new hairstyle.
The professional dancer shared an Instagram Story from behind-the-scenes while getting her hair and makeup done.
She gave her fans a glimpse of her crimped blonde tresses as she prepared for the first dress run.
The Ukrainian-Slovenian ballroom dancer looked sensational in a silver frock, hoop earrings and some blush pink lipstick.
She later rocked a sleek straight wig with a fringe alongside pro dancer Lubna Mushtuk.
Nadiya’s post comes after The Sun revealed that the Strictly dancer split from the footballer and father of her five-year-old daughter Mila after struggling with a long-distance relationship.
Matija, 33, remains in Slovenia where he plays for local club ND Primorje, while Nadiya is based in the UK for Strictly, where she is focused on the tour, which will see her dance with Dan Walker again.
He no longer follows Nadiya on Instagram, in a sign that the romance is over for good, while Nadiya hadn’t posted about him for almost seven months.
Nadiya, who was previously married for two years to Russian dancer Sergey Konovaltsev, has also stopped wearing her diamond engagement ring.
The Sun revealed how Nadiya has been comforted by fellow pro Kai Widdrington after secretly splitting from her fiance.
She also confided in Dan about the break up as they trained for the show.
Nadiya has since formed a “very strong” friendship with Kai, 26.
Last night a source said: “Nadiya and Kai have incredible chemistry, and a very strong friendship.

“Right from week one they connected, and are always laughing and messing about.
“Nadiya and Matija actually separated months ago and obviously Nadiya confided in Dan at the time.”
The pro, who made her debut on Strictly in 2017, struck up a close friendship with 6ft 6in Dan during the last series.
The duo were also firm favourites with Strictly viewers and got through to the BBC1 show’s quarter finals.
