Celebs morphing into their idols – from Adele and Beyonce to Megan Fox copying ‘crush’ Angelina Jolie’s blood vials
WHEN Megan Fox ‘drank the blood’ of fiancé Machine Gun Kelly to celebrate their engagement, it tapped into a familiar vein.
The Transformers actress has long idolised her “celeb crush” Angelina Jolie – and now appears to be morphing into her after developing the same unusual fascination with blood.
But the 35-year-old American is not the only celebrity to start blatantly copying the star she looks up to.
If it’s true that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then these celebs are paying huge compliments to their idols.
Angelina Jolie clone Megan Fox
Megan’s obsession with Angelina took a bizarre twist when she gave her new boyfriend a necklace containing a drop of her blood.
Rapper Machine Gun Kelly, 31, posted an image of the glass pendant with the caption: “I wear your blood around my neck.”
This mimics what Angelina, 46, did with her former husband Billy Bob Thornton, 66, wearing a vial of his blood around her neck.

Megan has often spoken about her devotion to the fellow raven-haired star, saying: “If I could just be Angelina’s girlfriend, I would be so happy. I love Angelina Jolie. She’s someone I admire and look up to.”
Both Angelina and Megan started out in action franchises, making their names in Tomb Raider and Transformers respectively.
They share an eye for black leather clothes and tattoos, but are also partial to a revealing red dress.
Kim Kardashian-alike Julia Fox
Kanye West fans have noticed startling similarities between his new partner Julia Fox and his estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
There was even a photo of the rapper cuddling up with Uncut Gems actress Fox, 31, which mimicked one he’d taken with reality star Kim, 41.
On Kanye’s second date with Julia he bought “an entire hotel suite full of clothes” for her.
This was a copyKim move, because he also liked to style his ex.
Both women have been seen out on the town in tight, low slung leather trousers and equally body-hugging tops.
Mick Jagger double Harry Styles
Former One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles has taken to wearing flowery clothes with big cuffs – just like Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger.
And the 27-year-old musician doesn’t hide his admiration for Mick, 78, saying: “I’m a massive fan and I like him a lot.”
Both singers went solo, although Jagger continued to work with The Stones.
Mick also likes the young pretender, commenting: “He’s got it going on. I can see the influence. But I don’t say anything to him, I just tell him he looks nice. I like him.”
Justin Bieber believer Billie Eilish
American singer songwriter Billie Eilish has been a huge Bieber believer since she was a teenager.
When she first met her idol at the Coachella festival in 2019, she said: “It wasn’t like I was just a fan, man. I’ve been in love before, and it was with him.”
Both Billie, 20, and Justin, 27, know what it is like to be a teenage pop sensation, writing songs when they were still in school.
And she has borrowed from his style book, dying her hair bleach blonde, getting lots of tattoos and wearing baggy clothes.
Madonna was Rita Ora’s material girl
The British singer has not hidden her devotion to the Queen of Pop, admitting “I just couldn’t breathe” when the two women met.
Then Madonna, 63, asked Rita to kneel on the floor next to her.
Both stars have complicated love lives, dating numerous famous men.
And it is rumoured that Rita, 31, is planning to get hitched to JoJo Rabbit director Taika Waititi.
This would mirror 63-year-old Madonna’s decision to wed Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels director Guy Ritchie back in 2000.
The Brit is not afraid to dress up in revealing outfits like Madonna and certainly shares her taste for thigh high boots.
Alesha Dixon doppelganger Maya Jama
TV presenter Maya Jama was thrilled to get the chance to work with her idol Alesha Dixon on the talent show Walk The Line.
She confessed: “When I was younger I used to try to learn all of Alesha’s bits in Mis-Teeq.
“People used to say I resembled her a bit because we both had deep voices and petite features.”
Maya, 27, dated rapper Stormzy while Alesha, 43, was married to MC Harvey, a former member of the influential rap group So Solid Crew.
Both women have shown support for the Black Lives Matter campaign.
Alesha likes dresses that make the most of her legs and Maya takes the same approach, often preferring a brief hemline.
Beyonce inspires Adele
When Adele’s album 25 pipped Beyonce’s Lemonade to a Grammy four years ago the British songstress told her American idol: “I love you. I always have. And I always will.”
Adele has a huge respect for her fellow singer songwriter and went back to Beyonce’s dressing room after the ceremony to tell her she deserved the award.
Since moving to the United States, the Londoner has adopted a more healthy lifestyle like her idol.
These days she’s started to wear the kind of shorter skirts we’re used to seeing Beyonce in – although she still likes flowing dresses.
And Adele’s new video for her latest single Oh My God mimics the artistic style of Bey’s Mine, which also featured a number of dancers in bizarre scenes.
