GEMMA Collins has opened up about how she got revenge on a fashion brand who told her to lose weight early on in her career.
The 40-year-old revealed that, after making the comments about her body, the unnamed brand came back to her last year after her fame sky rocketed.
Revealing it happened shortly after she joined Towie, Gemma said: “Big clothing brand pulled me into a meeting, said they wanted for me to be the ‘face of’. Sat there telling me I was too fat, go off, lose weight, come back to them.”
But Gemma had a plan in motion for when the same brand got back in touch with her.
Speaking to The Times, she continued: “Last year they come back to me. I had my plan. They came back and offered … I think I got 120 grand out of them.
“I thought, ‘I’m gonna take the money, f*** ’em off at the end of it.’ And that was what I did. I work with Valentino now.”
Earlier this year Gemma compared herself to Lady Gaga after Valentino sent her a gift.
Sharing her excitement on social media, the GC wrote: “Woohoo, what a lucky girl I am. I cannot believe I once started out on Towie, getting paid £50 [a day] and now I’ve got Valentino.

“This is just the dream. This is Lady Gaga stuff happening right here, right now in my life. So I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
“10 years down the line, Valentino are sending me gifts. And do you know what guys, let this be inspiration to you. No haters here, like just dream big.”
During the chat Gemma also confessed to comparing herself to her female co-stars on Towie, saying: “I wasn’t as beautiful as the other girls.”
But she insisted she used her size to her advantage by playing into the fitness DVD fad. She added: “In the early days the way to make money was weight gain, weight loss, make up, break up.”
