OL Reign v. Houston Dash: Gamethread and updates
4 PM PT. Paramount+. Watch with us.
OL Reign will be hungry to show their grit, intensity, and skills today in a home match against Kansas City, a newly formed team this year that absorbed the Utah Royals. The game kicks off at 4 PM PT at Cheney Stadium and will stream on Paramount+ for fans in the U.S. and on Twitch for international viewers.
OL Reign is 2-5-1, while KC enters the game 0-6-3. The Reign are coming off a disappointing 0-2 loss at Houston, while KC’s prior match saw them come back to draw Gotham, 1-1. Both squads are without a number of their international players, who are with their national teams to prepare for the Olympics.
For the Reign, this game is about showing they are connecting after a full week of the starters practicing together. And it’s about individual players all stepping up to help the collective. “if we can be better individually, then we have a chance of being successful. So tactically, not a great deal to change, but from a mentality and intensity perspective, I expect to see a change in that — especially when playing at home,” said interim had coach Sam Laity ahead of the match.
What to Watch
- Play with intensity for 90 minutes
- Win the individual battles
- Score first and early, please
