Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ‘tell-all’ Oprah interview will still air this week, despite Prince Philip undergoing heart surgery.
Broadcaster CBS has ‘no intention’ of delaying the special, which is set to be unveiled on Sunday on US screens, according to a source.
The royal couple is said to believe the programming ‘is ultimately up to CBS’, as the Duke of Edinburgh, 99, spends his third week in hospital.
An insider told The Sun: ‘There are a lot of people who are going to talk about this until the programme airs, but the programming and all the rest of it is ultimately up to CBS, we’re not involved in that side of things.
‘As it stands, I don’t think there is any intention from the programme maker to change its air date.’
ITV confirmed yesterday the explosive chat will air in the UK at 9pm on Monday evening.
A trailer for the two-hour show promises ‘shocking’ revelations, with ‘no subject off-limits’.
