Family of Wishaw teen killed in horror dirt bike crash receive sick Facebook taunts amid feud fears
THE family of a tragic motorcyclist have been sent sick taunts revelling in his death – as locals voiced reprisal fears over the feud.
Derek Paton, 19, was killed along with pal Leon Fitzpatrick, 18 when their bike collided with a van on Thursday afternoon.
The death is the second to hit the Paton family after brother Dylan died aged 16 seven years ago.
Today, Derek’s sister Paitin revealed fake Facebook pages celebrating his death had been sent to the family, from Craigneuk, near Wishaw, Lanarkshire.
And locals fear a repeat of a mass brawl after Dylan’s funeral which saw cops come under attack by rampaging thugs.
A local said: “The family’s grief is being compounded by sickos mocking Derek’s death.
“The town is on edge and the cops need to get a grip on this before it gets out of hand.”
Derek was facing trial this year accused of assaulting a 15-year-old schoolboy along with another man, who can’t be named for legal reasons.
On Saturday night, Paitin shared a horrific skull and crossbones site in her brother’s name with ‘karma’ above it and a sick slur regarding his late brother below.
Wishaw teen, 18, killed in dirt bike crash is second tragedy to hit family after elder brother died aged 16
His girlfriend Kayleigh Kelly said: “People have no respect, believe me your day will come.
“Every last person that’s writing about him, nothing better to do with your life.”
Another relative added: “Silly ignorant people will get their day – they’ll be looking over their shoulders for the rest of their sick pathetic lives.”

The family also shared a bizarre tribute to Derek that read: ‘If one day speed kills me, don’t cry I was smiling.’
After Dylan’s funeral in 2014, cops arrested nearly two dozen people aged from just 12 to 45 over a huge rammy on the family’s street.
Police Scotland said they were not aware of any online threats but encouraged anyone with information to come forward.
