Former Arsenal player claims that Spurs have ‘no chance’ of dream Premier League title
As the Premier League continues to look as open as ever at the top, there will remain a belief around many clubs that they have a chance of lifting the coveted title this year.
It can certainly be argued that Spurs are involved in such a conversation, with the club just seven points off the lead with a game in hand.
Tottenham have picked up some impressive results so far this season, including important wins against the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal.
However, like many teams in the league, the North London side have struggled for consistency. At the halfway stage of the season, Tottenham have already dropped ten points from winning positions (Daily Mail), a stat that will hugely frustrate Mourinho.
Questions will be asked of Spurs in over the coming weeks as the Lilywhites host both Liverpool and Chelsea, as well as an away trip to face Manchester City in February. Pep Guardiola’s team have been unstoppable since their 2-0 defeat to Spurs back in November.
Despite their positive first half of the season, former Arsenal star, Lauren, has written Spurs out of the Premier League title race.
Lauren was speaking to the Daily Mirror about the season when the former Cameroon international stated: “Tottenham have no chance of winning the league.
“They will be there in the European places and maybe even Champions League positions but I cannot see them winning the Premier League.”

Given the inconsistencies shown by sides over the season, it is hard to write anyone at the top off. Tottenham have already enjoyed a successful start to the season, topped off by a trip to the Carabao Cup Final. But as the season goes on, one can only hope that the club remains consistent.
