Shocking moment golf club-wielding yob chases teen as boy,13, fighting for life after being attacked outside school
THIS is the moment a golf-club wielding yob chases a teen as a boy has been left fighting for life.
In the footage, an enraged man can be seen shouting at pupils and staff from the Dunraven School in Streatham, South London just before 3.30pm yesterday afternoon.
A 13-year-old boy was found with a head injury and a 12-year-old boy screamed to his mum “I’ve been attacked” after the shocking events unfolded in front of onlookers.
The Met Police said the youngster was rushed to hospital where he remains.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.
Today, the schoolboy victim was described as a “lovely” boy who had a lot of friends.
One told the MailOnline: “He’s a well-known kid who has a lot of friends.
“Like any 13-year-old he can be a bit mouthy but he’s not a troublemaker and is very likeable.”
Another added: “It’s very shocking because he’s a lovely boy. He’s a character, bit of a cheekie chappie who’s always smiling and joking around.
“We’re all devastated by this because it was a very horrific attack.”
One mum found her 12-year-old son’s lunchbox smashed to pieces in his rucksack when he got home from school after he was hit by the man’s pole.
The Dunraven School pupil, from Year 8, fled after the attacker targeted him and others while he walked home from school with a pal.
SCHOOL HORROR
His mum said the man was “on the rampage trying to attack anything and everything” as he hit her son.
The mum, 42, told The Sun Online: “He saw lots of kids running and all this commotion.
“He said there was this weird mental-looking guy shouting insults, trying to fight with somebody, saying, ‘come on then’. Being really aggressive to schoolkids.
“He didn’t want to run because he thought if he started running he’s going to create attention to himself.
“He was walking at a normal pace with his friend. At one point, this guy was behind them. He would probably have caught up with them as the other kids were running off.

“They both freaked out. My son phoned me screaming and crying, saying, ‘I’ve been attacked’.
“He wasn’t injured. When I heard he had been attacked I thought the worst.
“Later on when I opened his backpack to wash his lunchbox and his lunchbox was shattered in his bag.
“I thought, ‘Oh my god, he didn’t just get hit slightly, he would have been hit hard’.
“I thought, ‘Oh my god, if that was his head’. I can’t even imagine.
