It was revealed earlier this month that The Walking Dead’s 11th season will be its last, but will be a bumper-sized outing with 24 episodes.

The AfterShock comic is by Zac Thompson and Lonnie Nadler – who will co-produce the series – and is a Western which tracks the revenge tale of Ethel Grady Lane.
The character returns to her hometown of Sweetheart, Arizona intent on killing the man who murdered her family.
Norman – who plays Daryl Dixon on the zombie show – has also signed a deal with Blackstone Publishing to curate a selective list of works by distinct and diverse voices.

He said: “It has been a dream of mine for so long to be able to share and tell progressive stories that shine a light where others don’t.
“I feel incredibly privileged for the opportunity to amplify innovative voices in storytelling that are visionary in fostering change in culture.”
Norman isn’t saying goodbye to The Walking Dead universe despite the original series’ cancellation though, as his character has landed his own spin-off show.
The new series is also based on a comic, just like The Walking Dead [/caption]Daryl and Carol – played by Melissa McBride – will carry on their stories on a separate show.
Norman said of the decision: “I feel incredibly honoured to be a part of The Walking Dead. This show changed my life and career and everyone involved has truly been a family for me over the last decade.

“I’m thankful for AMC’s love and support and know there’s so much more story to tell and so much more to bring the best fans in the world.
“Daryl’s relationship with Carol has always been my favourite relationship on the show (sorry Rick).
“I love the way these characters interact and relate to each other on so many levels and can’t wait to see where their ride goes from here.”
The Walking Dead season 10 finale will air Sunday, October 4 at 9pm on AMC. It will then air on Fox in the UK a day later on Monday, October 5 and will also be available on NOW TV.
