Bek Nurmaganbet signs with Suleimen Promotions
Earlier today news broke from Kazakhstan that former amateur standout Bek Nurmaganbet [Бек Нурмаганбет] had signed a professional contract with promotional outfit Suleimen Promotions.
As an amateur Nurmaganbet won the 2019 Asian Championships gold medal at Light Heavyweight and was supposed to go to the World Championships, before an injury forced him out. Incidentally his replacement in the Kazakh team ended up winning the Gold medal.
Although Suleimen aren't a major promoter globally they have got a growing stable of Kazakh fighters. With this signing Nurmaganbet joins up with the world ranked pairing of Aidos Yerbossynuly (13-0, 9) [Айдос Ербосынулы] and Nursultan Zhangabayev (8-0, 5) [Жанабаев Нурсултан] and fellow newbie Yeveniy Pavlov [Евгения Павлова], who signed with the company recently.
Again whilst they aren't a major promoter Suleimen do appear to be acquiring good talent, and their fighters do appear to have freedom to work alongside bigger promoters putting them in a rather nice position at the moment.
Sadly it's not yet been confirmed when Nurmaganbet but it's clear when he does he is going to be one to watch. The very skilled 22 year old has a solid amateur career behind him and whilst we don't expect him to be raced super quick, we don't expect him to be molly coddled, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him take on a notable name in his first 10 or so fights.
