A major police search has been sparked for a man feared to have drowned in the River Thames.
A man was seen entering the water on Tuesday night, but never emerged, Thames Valley Police said.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Cookham, Berkshire at about 6.30pm yesterday evening.
Pictures from the scene show the police operation underway, with rescue workers searching the river.
The incident appears to have taken place close to The Ferry pub.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said it was supporting Thames Valley Police (TVP), Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service on Tuesday evening.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were also at the scene.
A group of three men were said to have been diving into the fast-moving water.
However, SCAS denied claims that three boys had drowned in the incident last night.
