Kim Kardashian slammed for ‘only donating $1m’ to coronavirus fund by angry fans
KIM Kardashian was slammed by fans for “only donating $1million” to a coronavirus fund.
The reality star, 39, pledged to donate $1million from her SKIMS shapewear brand for a fund to help mothers and their children struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.
She shared a photo of herself and other women modelling the collection.
Kim captioned the photo: “To support Mothers and Children in need during this time, I’m proud to announce @SKIMS is committed to donating $1M to families affected by COVID-19.
“On Monday, we will restock the collection we first launched with, and in doing so, be able to help bring relief to those affected by this pandemic.”
Friends of Kim praised her for donating the money, with model Winnie Harlow saying: “Amazing Kim”.
Another friend Simon Huck added: “Unbelievable.”
However, many fans were not as generous – with some people accusing her of cashing in on the crisis.
One person said: “Your net worth is 350 MILLION dollars. Are you serious? You’re trying to make a profit off of a pandemic of broke and dying people?
“that’s absolutely disgusting. Just donate the money and stop idolizing yourself for doing so.”

Another added: “Wtf!! Donate without promoting the idea to buy your product. How shameful.. at this point this seems self serving. Who tf does that!”
A third remarked: “Wow and to think we are the ones that made her rich and her family. What is a million dollars to her NOTHING AT ALL. But it is everything to some. So much money she couldn’t even begin to spend it all”
This isn’t the first time Kim has been accused of centring herself in the pandemic as Piers Morgan recently slammed her for dragging up her ongoing feud with Taylor Swift.
He told The Sun On Sunday: “I hope this situation has given us all some perspective and, that once it’s over, we will stop worshipping material stuff and realise it really does not matter what Kim Kardashian has to say. None of it matters.
“No one gives a rat’s ar*e about Kim’s latest barbs with Taylor Swift. These people should be using their platforms to raise awareness about health workers and the importance of staying at home, not for their own gain.”
