Bhatkal’s Jukaku family finds pride in Abdul El-Sayed’s US Senate bid
Dr. Sarah Jukaku, granddaughter of Jukaku Shamshuddin, recently married Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for the US Senate. El-Sayed is a Rhodes Scholar and public health administrator who met Sarah while studying. The family is proud of their connection to Bhatkal and Shamshuddin's legacy of public service. Despite most family members settling in Bengaluru, they maintain ties with their hometown.
