Let's start this Tuesday morning at the University of Arizona where parents weekend is in the books and let's just say the moms and dads went hard this year. Remember those stories in the media lately about how parents are pointing their kids towards party schools...so the parents can party?

It's no secret that I absolutely hammered Cracker Barrel management, specifically Rachel Maddow glasses-wearing CEO Julie Masino, last year after she decided to turn a cherished institution into just another suburban elitist hellhole breakfast joint like First Watch. OutKick absolutely hammered that lady to the point where she eventually stepped down in August.
Last week, before golf, we were in a pinch. We needed breakfast, but time was of the essence. Cracker Barrel was close to the course, so we stopped. I went with some breakfast skillet thing that had a bunch of stuff piled onto biscuits and gravy. Diesel had some meal that had steak bites. Canoe Kirk had some skillet with steak bites.

The food came out FAST. It was hot. Seemed fresh. And they threw us a basket of biscuits. Now, the skillet wasn't cheap. I think it was something like $13, but when we left, I admitted I would return.

I haven't checked in on Vegas lately and it's probably for the best because each time something pops up about the state of the gambling industry, it's more depressing by the year. Then news like this pops up where some downtown casinos are offering craps only on weekends. Sure, the Strip is thriving and there are football games to attend and Metallica is in town, blah, blah, blah.
The more I think about it, the more thankful I am that I was able to experience Main Street Station, and taking a leak on the piece of the Berlin Wall that they have in the men's restroom, before its soul was ripped out.
THE NFL SAW WHAT TAYLOR SWIFT DID FOR RATINGS—NOW THEY’RE STAGING QB ROMANCE FOR GEN Z: REPORT
Speaking of Vegas, this guy has Taylor Swift fans losing their minds on TikTok. "Awww he probably worked so hard on that sign," some guy named Andrew replied to The Goat's video. You get the idea where the responses went from there. Some woman named Melissa fired off, "I’m a Raider fan but this is stupid. ????"
Let's get one more in here. "All while you’re sitting on the sidelines and she’s literally in the suites," Jamie pointed out.
Lee D. in Tampa pointed out that, on Monday, Washington State announced it was hiring bots to "reduce the time spent creating game recaps, feature stories, player bios, award nominations, transcriptions, and other editorial content."
It makes me wonder if the AI bots scour the Internet looking for tidbits on players written by humans in order to create its AI bot content. Let's see how this plays out.
Random thoughts from a veteran Screencaps emailer
– Rob in Florida knows how to email this column: Good morning to the Community, a quarter of the way through football season, a few thoughts.
Influencers- It started with Tay-Tay and TK, I was tired of it then, I’m even more tired of it now. For the love of God NFL, you have one of the greatest products on earth, as the one movie said " Your messing with a corporation that owns a day of the week". Why? Why do you have to do this? Why must we be subjected to games in Brazil? Why must you waterboard us with constant shots of Influencers in the crowd wearing their boyfriends jersey? Why do your officials stink on toast? Fix the officiating, stop showing the bimbo’s in the crowd and play the damn game. By the way, the college games have caught on to it now, you can’t go five minutes of a college game without the camera panning to some underdressed co-ed in the student section. Coincidence? Probably not, these women know exactly what they are doing, they get the follows, they get the sponsors and away they go.

Tailgate- I love a good tailgate, get there early, have a few cheap beers, head into the game, perfect. I’ve never understood the over the top antics, table jumping, spraying your friend with condiments, screaming at the other teams fans. Bu then again, who cares what the grumpy old man thinks, have at it boys.
College- You are crazy if you send your 18 year old to a major college now. Between the tuition, Marxist teachers and the sheer cost, start with the small community college and keep your 18 year old at home for way less money. Look at the major campuses today, do you want to subject your son or daughter to that? Look, I was a moron at 18, if you would have sent me to a college town, I would probably have died from alcohol poisoning. Parents, in a prior lifetime I worked at a bar that hosted college nights, the kids are not all right, don’t feed them to the system. Watch carefully what is going on at Cornell, watch very carefully.
Quickly, just a thought, with the aforementioned abundance of influencers showing up in major sporting events, do you think Screencaps had anything to do with this? You were kind of ahead of the game by putting Instagram girls as a regular feature in your columns. Not blaming you for it, you’ve done this for a while, the formula has not changed much, hot girls, sports and culture. Your not the first one to do this, you’ve just refined it, like Henry Ford refined manufacturing. Maybe the leagues are catching on to what you’ve been doing, they are just copying what has been a very successful formula. Has Screencaps changed the sporting landscape? BTW, don’t change a thing…..

Kinsey: Thank you for the compliment in that last paragraph, Rob. Look, these schools and teams sucked the fun out of sports with their BLM rallies on Instagram and lectures on Facebook and in the media. If I played a small role in these institutions turning to fun, hot women, having some beers and enjoying life, then Screencaps is completely honored.
It's also validation that this project was right all along. People want to start their day with a jolt of energy. Screencaps is that jolt.
