Made to sign ‘loan’ papers: Ranchi nurse held captive in Dubai, forced into household work
Monica Kachhap, a nurse from Ranchi, was promised a job in Dubai by a recruiting agent. After transferring money for the job and ticket, she traveled to Dubai in May. Upon arrival, her passport was confiscated, and she was coerced into signing Arabic documents. Allegations suggest she was forced into labor and could only return by repaying a loan.
