New York online sports betting has been live since Jan. 8, 2022, when the New York State Gaming Commission licensed its first online operators. Bettors in the state can now choose from nine sportsbook apps.

You cannot bet on any college sporting event that takes place in New York, so even when Duke plays Illinois at Madison Square Garden, you cannot wager on it. There are also no college player props allowed in New York sports betting.
