Paige Spiranac welcomes fall golf by revisiting summer fun, Allie Rae geared up for Vikings in Tampa & meat
It's Sunday, and I am back after taking a couple of days off last week. More on that in a minute. But first up on the Screencaps agenda today is the transition from summer to fall.
It's about putting the swimsuits and short shorts away and reaching for the sweatshirts and warmer clothing. It's also about properly paying your respects to the summer that was.
When you're in the content game and considered one of the best, like golf's top influencer Paige Spiranac, bidding adieu to summer while looking forward to fall shouldn't be difficult.
That is, of course, if you're not overthinking it. Any up-and-coming influencers out there, take a page from Paige's playbook and revisit summer with a highlight package of some of your best work.
This isn't about trying to outproduce anyone with the content. It's about respect. When you give it, you receive it. Here's how one of the best to ever do it approached it.
"Saying goodbye to summer golf and hello to fall golf????," Paige wrote. "but first wanted to revisit some summer golf fun⛳️"
There's another lesson to be learned from this and that's to keep your foot on the gas. You won't see Paige Spiranac blowing many leads at home. She keeps at it no matter how far out in front she is.

It was a tough day for some Big Ten teams at home on Saturday.
Most notably for No. 12 USC, who ended up losing 41-27 to No. 20 Oregon. And for No. 18 Michigan, who didn't have any extra time available during their 20-19 walk-off loss to No. 17 Iowa.
The Michigan loss, which you really hate to see, produced real art. Take a look at this touchdown and the reaction from the Wolverine student section.
The shock. The horror. The stunned silence of a loss in a game they were seconds away from winning. Again, you really hate to see it.
Of course, there was another ranked Big Ten team who lost at home and blew a lead while doing so. I'm well aware of No. 13 ranked Penn State losing to unranked Wisconsin at home and blowing a 17-point lead.
But I was under the impression that James Franklin was no longer the head coach and that ugly losses were a thing of the past. Although to be fair to Franklin, up until his last season, he didn’t lose these types of games all that often.
It's the wakeup call Penn State needed. They haven’t played anyone yet, despite my attempt to pretend that they have by ignoring their soft schedule (which I will do again).

Our daughter and son-in-law were here for a visit over the weekend and our SIL grilled T-bones on the charcoal grill. The steaks were better than any you’d find in any steakhouse in the country!! has spoiled us with his grill skills ☺️

Great work as always with Sunday Screencaps! South Florida has been in a drought and we finally got a LOT of rain. I swear a foot in just the last 2-3 days.
Last Sunday, day after Mrs. Gen X Warren M and I saw Luke Bryan in concert, we watched her Lions and my hapless Dolphins when some of the first rains and lightning hit. Our planned hot dogs on the grill couldn’t happen (not much cover on our patio), so I threw them in a pan. Not too bad, but grilled is always better.
Also, knowing my Dolphins, we’ll end up winning more games than the Browns and Titans, for example, and not get that first pick. -_- At least my FAU Owls beat Navy! That was a surprise!

That's it for this Sunday. A couple of weeks ago I forgot to mention that I was going to be out last weekend. Joe covered for me and I collected a few emails, which came in handy today.
I was out because on late Saturday afternoon, as a handful of you know already, my daughter got married. It was a big day and I took a couple of days to visit with some family that made the trip and recover.
If you've sent in emails this weekend, I'll be sure to include them on Thursday and Friday as I toe the rubber for Joe. That's right, a call to the bullpen has been made, and you get a couple more days with me this week.
