‘Looksmaxxing’ influencer ‘Clavicular’ charged after teen alleges attack at family’s Cape Cod home
A controversial "looksmaxxing" influencer known online as "Clavicular" is facing criminal charges in Massachusetts after a woman accused him of getting her drunk and having sex with her without her consent when she was 17, court records obtained by Fox News Digital show.
Braden Peters, 20, was charged with rape and drugging someone to facilitate sexual intercourse, along with an alcohol-related misdemeanor.
The charges stem from a May 23, 2025, encounter at Peters’ family home in Chatham on Cape Cod, court documents state.
The teenager told investigators she connected with Peters on Instagram and was invited to his home to make "looksmaxxing" content, an online trend centered on efforts to maximize physical attractiveness.
Peters allegedly arranged an Uber to bring her to the home, where she said he was livestreaming on Twitch. She told police Peters knew she was 17 but instructed her to tell viewers she was 18 and refer to alcohol as "water" so his account or livestream would not be banned.
Police said investigators were later shown clips from Peters’ Twitch account that captured portions of the evening. In one, the teenager could be heard saying, "Wait, I’m so drunk though," before she and Peters kissed.
The teenager told investigators she and Peters later had sex and alleged she awoke the following morning to another sexual encounter that was without her consent.

Police wrote that they believed her level of intoxication left her unable to consent.
A judge found probable cause for all three charges Sept. 4, and a criminal complaint was issued Sept. 8 in Orleans District Court on Cape Cod. Peters was issued a summons and is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 14.
Mitchell Jackson, a representative for Peters, pushed back on the allegations in a statement to Fox News Digital, pointing to the timing of a civil lawsuit against Peters and the woman’s subsequent report to police.

"She files a lawsuit and doesn’t include sexual assault as a count. Then she amends it and adds it a couple of months later," Jackson said.
Peters later moved to dismiss the lawsuit, Jackson added, arguing that letters and text messages supported his position and that Peters "refused to pay money."
"She and her lawyer then go to police," he said.
Peters also took to social media to push back on the allegations, posting screenshots of messages and a handwritten letter that he presented as supporting his position.
"Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you," Peters wrote alongside the images.
Fox News Digital is not identifying the alleged victim.
The police report states that the alleged victim went to Chatham police with an attorney June 4, 2026, more than a year after the alleged encounter. She told investigators she initially kept what happened to herself because she was embarrassed and did not want to tell her grandparents, with whom she was living at the time.

As part of the investigation, police sought Uber records from the night of the alleged encounter. Uber later confirmed Peters’ name and phone number in information returned to investigators, the police report states.
A Chatham police officer also tried twice to reach Peters by phone in late August but received no answer. The officer wrote that both calls went to a full voicemail inbox and that Peters had not contacted the department about the case as of Aug. 30.
Fox News Digital also reached out to Peters’ attorney, Steve Kramer, for comment on the charges and allegations.

Peters has amassed an online following under the name "Clavicular," producing viral content centered on looksmaxxing.
The Massachusetts case is the latest legal trouble involving the influencer.
Earlier this year, Peters faced a misdemeanor charge in Florida after authorities alleged he repeatedly fired a gun at a dead alligator during a livestream in the Everglades.

An attorney for Peters said at the time that he had followed the instructions of a licensed airboat guide and stressed that no people or animals were harmed. Peters and two other men were summoned to appear on charges of discharging a gun in public.
Peters was also arrested in Florida earlier this year on battery and conspiracy to commit-battery allegations stemming from an altercation between two women at an Airbnb near Kissimmee.
Osceola County authorities alleged Peters instigated the fight and posted video of it on social media to "exploit the two women."
