Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma crushed seized narcotics and psychotropic substances. Drugs valued at Rs 472.51 crore were destroyed in a state-level disposal program. The chief minister emphasized strengthening intelligence and inter-state coordination to combat drug trafficking. He noted that Assam has become a transit route for drugs smuggled from Myanmar. The state has registered 3300 NDPS cases and seized drugs worth Rs 3227 crore.
