Taped number plates, hostage drama and hail of bullets: How Gurgaon cops foiled Deepak Nandal gang's extortion bid
Four associates of gangster Deepak Nandal were killed in a police encounter. They were attempting to extort several crores from businessman Vishal Beri. The gunfight erupted in Sushant Lok while the suspects held Beri hostage. Police rescued the businessman safely and recovered weapons from the scene. Three police personnel sustained bullet injuries during the exchange.
